Surely you have heard of our newest celebrity resident, Sutro Sam? The River Otter? Sam joins a long list of characters who have taken up residence in our inclusionary city. Apparently, in a reverse commute, he swam across the Golden Gate from Marin last October but his arrival was just officially announced today in the Chronicle.
And what a clever otter he is! He has found the fresh water pool in the ruins of the old Sutro Baths, just below Lands End lookout which is full of mussels and abandoned gold fish.

Family owned since 1937, the food is good, consistent and kid-friendly. And so is the staff. We were there this morning for breakfast – waffles, hot cakes, ham and eggs…and crayons.
And the view is spectacular. We could see Sutro Sam from our table this morning. You may want to ask for a booth but this amazing view is visible from all tables.
